Awesome Stocking Stuffers, Easy Gifts and Holiday Cookies

By Guest Blogger Denise from STL Motherhood

The Christmas countdown is on! I’ve been rounding up stocking stuffers, gifts and all sorts of things for my big cookie exchange. The weather may be too warm for snow, but it’s finally starting to look like Christmas around stlMotherhood’s tree!

So, before we begin, I need to let you know about today’s sponsor, Here Today! They’re a St. Louis store chock full of bargains. There’s five locations currently, and more on the way! Here Today sent me on a shopping trip to my Fenton store, but all my opinions are my own. Here’s what I found!

Stocking Stuffers!

I grabbed plenty of goodies to put in the kid’s stockings. I found a matching hat & glove set for the boys, cute socks for myself and tons of holiday candy. Ryan’s a big fan of Pop Rocks and all things peppermint, so these were a no brainer. The candy was from 50 cents for the giant candy cane to $1.99 for a huge bag of Andes Peppermints! The hat & glove set was just $3.99 and the cute socks were $5.99–both more than half off the regular price!

Treasure Hunt

I’m not gonna lie. Here Today is definitely one of those “treasure hunt” kinda stores–because they are constantly getting in exciting inventory at amazing prices, you just never know what you’re gonna find here. In fact, their motto is Grab it today, because it might not be here tomorrow!

If you’ve been following me on Instagram you may have seen Mitch’s Minecraft pals, Endy and Splody playing Elf on the Shelf. I spent DAYS looking for little Santa hats for these dolls to wear…and I found them at Here Today. They were in the pet department! They’re meant for little dogs, but these $1.99 Santa Hats fit our plushies just great. Mitch even fashioned the chin strap into a scarf. (See what I mean about a treasure hunt? You gotta shop all the aisles!)

Cookies

Mitch and I have been baking up a storm! We dug into this Gingerbread Cookie Kit right away, and made some Christmas cookies! He had a lot of fun decorating them…maybe too much fun. The kit is $4.99 and came with cookie mix, white icing and a cookie cutter. We also picked up a couple shiny red tin trays for displaying our cookies!

Speaking of cookies…did you see my earlier post on quick and easy cookie hacks? I found the Pecan Sandies and Thin Mints at Here Today! Just paint on a little corn syrup and sprinkles and you’ve got your Christmas “baking” done! Here Today also had storage tins and holiday ZipLock bags, all starting at 99 cents.

Gift Basket Goodies

If you need to put together a gift basket for a teacher or friend, Here Today has some options for you! I found tins of holiday cocoa ($3.99), Starbucks X-Mas Blend Coffee ($5.99) and holiday fudge in a tin ($4.99). I got a couple cute little plates with holiday memes ($1.99) and a Christmas Tree ceramic diffuser ($3.99) for more than half off their original prices.

Cards

My husband is an insurance agent, so we send out a HUGE stack of cards. I’m always on the lookout for cards that look great without costing a ton. Here Today has assorted box cards for $2.99, but they were originally $9.99! Now that’s what I’m talking about!

Wrap it Up

And of course you can find wrapping paper and tape for 50% off!

Pick up the items shown above & stop by Here Today soon as they could be gone tomorrow. Read the full article here and stay tuned for some of  the next Here Today shopping trips!
